We think the name of this game refers to the booby traps you have to avoid.

Fair enough, but it got us thinking. Where does the word booby in booby trap come from? Well, a quick trip to the local library tells us that it derives from the Spanish word bobo, which means clown, stupid, or easily cheated. So there you have it.
