The Circle Pad Pro, Nintendo’s ‘elegant’ solution to add a second analogue input to the 3DS.
Ah Nintendo, you create a shiny new handheld featuring state-of-the-art 3D screen technology, but you forget to add a second analogue stick. In all honesty, with the exception of a few games, this accessory was hardly essential. Nonetheless, the sight of the beautifully designed 3DS bolted into the Circle Pad Pro “boat’ is depressingly tragic.
The Circle Pad Pro – which is powered by its own AAA battery – adds a new Right Circle Pad and new ZR and ZL trigger buttons. With the arrival of the New Nintendo 3DS range in 2015, these inputs would become part of the console itself. Rejoice!
